Memory refers to the data storage unit or simply the storehouse of various computer files. These are intended to hold the data for some time which can be used later for computing purposes or that which can be retrieved later. Memories can be grouped under two categories namely the primary memory storage and secondary memory storage unit respectively. Since the CPU directly accesses the memory unit then these memory devices are called primary memory devices. Example Random Access Memory (RAM), Read Only Memory (ROM) comes under this type of memory. RAMs are volatile devices; hence they require power to store information on them. In case when power is unavailable then it does not possess the capability to hold the data. IMAC Memory contains various types of random access memories and VRAM also known as video memory that can be used in iMac computers. In order to gain high speed for performing arithmetic calculations, higher data transferring speed and optimal processing times whenever an application is invoked the IMAC Memory is used. Also many DRAM manufacturers are available these days to produce these RAM memory upgrades which suit a specific system type. Hence depending upon the application usage and its processing time the specific IMAC Memory devices are chosen and then used.
